Timothy L. Tan, M.D.
Timothy Tan MD is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee including both primary and revision surgery. He cares for patients with all types of degenerative hip and knee conditions, as well as those with complications from prior joint replacement surgery. He believes that the treatment and care of his patients should be based on scientific data whenever possible.
He attended University of California Los Angeles and graduated Summa Cum Laude in Physiology with honors and continued at UCLA for medical school . He completed his orthopaedic residency at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and completed additional subspecialty training in total joint replacement and adult reconstruction at University of California San Francisco. In addition, he is an active researcher with numerous publications, and national presentations.
